Katherine Briggs crafted her first monster story at age three. Since graduating from crayons to laptop, she continues to devour and weave fantasy tales while enjoying chai tea. She, her coadventurer husband, and rescue dog reside outside Houston, where she classically educates amazing middle school students, teaches ESL to adults, and enjoys studying other languages.

April Henley
April Henley is an indie author out of Houston, a proud Texan and Baylor Bear. She crafted her first story as a child about a blue-winged unicorn named Sapphire, but her passion for story writing caught fire in a high school Creative Writing class where her creativity knew no bounds. She wrote her first story (that is now "Treasures in a Bottle") and would revisit it through college and her 20s. In 2020, she came back to the story one more time and, in 2023, published it. She authors Fiction/Fantasy stories, inspiring children to use their imaginations and encouraging readers of all ages to get lost between the pages. Her outside interests include horseback riding, Renaissance festivals, cosplay, food, and travel.

Adrienne lives in Texas with her husband, an angry bird, and a goofy dog, and she has always dreamed of going bigger. Her favorite stories involve twists of fantasy, complex characters, underlying mysteries, plenty of drama and comedy, and all of the heartfelt moments in between. So, naturally, she weaves these into her hybrid tales of science fiction and fantasy!
After her best friend is murdered by a shapeshifting eonite, Liana pours herself into her work for Terminus, the underground rebellion most superhuman anomalies look to for justice against such crimes. As an anomaly herself, it’s hard for Liana to balance hiding in the shadows with bringing dirty truths to light, and her slip-ups bring her to the attention of the ruthless leader of Terminus, Matthias Stryker himself.

Terminus is cutthroat, but they’re not the only ones watching. The government agency, EVOS, is out for anomaly blood, and when Liana is caught in the crossfire, she has no choice but to play along. Especially after hotheaded Agent Wallace backs her into a corner with his deadly plan: deescalate the rising tension between factions and prevent war on a cosmic scale by using Liana as a double agent.

It doesn’t help that Liana’s relationship with Stryker is shaky at best, and helping EVOS as an anomaly is like playing with dynamite. But unrest is stirring, Wallace is making some irritatingly excellent points, and Terminus’s reputation is growing worse by the minute.
All Liana wants is to make sure Stryker never comes back. It’s no easy task; not when the consequences of her actions are catching up faster than she can outrun them. Following the destruction of the Obelisk, she’s become the people’s villain: A superhuman whose powers must be contained.

But with Wallace on her side, it’s going to be harder than EVOS expected to bring her in. His warrior nature is a force to be reckoned with, and he’ll do anything to protect Liana - including lose himself to his true form.
So when a new foe arrives to confront Liana, neither she nor Wallace are prepared to go head to head with powers fine-tuned to destroy them both.
