Off Duty Management (2023-2024)

In my 9 months with Off Duty Management (ODM), I attempted to increase its online visibility with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and develop strategic messaging to meet objectives set by the marketing team and leadership. Below are overviews and samples of my work. Some projects are confidential to the ODM brand and company, and I am only permitted to share samplings of such work in my hard copy portfolio at an interview. Thank you.

Request For Proposal (RFP) Responses
My priority assignment was to search, find, and respond to RFPs relating to first responder special duty/off-duty programs. If ODM leadership felt it was a good lead, I researched the requesting agency or municipality and wrote a multi-page response, complete with graphics and charts, to give a complete overview of Off Duty Management and its OfficerTRAK® software solution, detailing how our solution would resolve those issues mentioned in the RFP. In my 9 months at ODM, I submitted 15 RFP responses.

Sourcewell Bids (Software and Staffing)​
Sourcewell helps governments, schools, and nonprofits work more efficiently with cooperative purchasing, and ODM held one awarded contract with them when I came to work for them. In my final two months with ODM, I researched opportunities to win bids for Software and Staffing, specific to governments and first responders. The responses I wrote in collaboration with ODM's Chief Operating Officer were both well over 100 pages and answered over 120 questions posed by Sourcewell. I submitted these bids on my second to last day with ODM. The bids are confidential.

What is Off Duty Management? (Educational Blog)
Through my research, I identified a need by target audiences to understand Off Duty Management in a simple and clear way; so I wrote the following article which proved useful with SEO measures.

Headlines Review (October 2023)
Every month, I wrote a Headlines Review, summarizing articles I found about police off-duty detail injuries, fraud, and lawsuits. The purpose of these reviews was to spotlight common issues in special duty programs that are resolved with OfficerTRAK® software solution.

FBINAA Article
Brian Manley, President of ODM, was invited to provide an article for the FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. monthly magazine. The FBINAA a non-profit, international organization dedicated to providing our states, countries, and the law enforcement profession with the highest degree of expertise, training, education and information. The following is a draft of the article I ghostwrote for Manley with Manley's revisions.

Slicks
ODM Business Development Managers (BDM) attend conferences focused on developments in law enforcement technology and solutions and showcase ODM and OfficerTRAK®. Slicks are handouts BDMs provide visitors to their table. The marketing team sought to update these handouts with a sharper design and simple but informative copy. These handouts are confidential but available in my hard copy portfolio.

Website Redesign
The marketing team's 2024 goal was to update the look and feel of the company website. Unfortunately, other assignments took priority, and the redesign was pushed back. I have the revised copy for some of the webpages but can only share in my hard copy portfolio.
